QWERmix is a free League of Legends fan site. This page says what we collect when you use it, why, and what you can do about it. Questions go to qwermix.app@gmail.com.
What we collect
- If you make an account: your display name, email address and password (stored only as a one-way hash by our sign-in system), and the profile picture you pick. If you sign in with Google or Discord, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from them.
- What you publish: builds, champions, challenges, votes, reports, Daily Draft results and tag flags, with the time they were made.
- Without an account: a random device ID in a cookie, so your votes and draft tries count once; and a guest account, also kept in a cookie, if you publish something without signing in.
- Your network: a salted one-way hash of your IP address, used to stop spam and cap votes per network. We never store the IP address itself.
- Email: we only email you to verify your address or reset your password.
We don't sell your data, and we don't run analytics trackers.
Cookies
- a session cookie that keeps you signed in;
- a device cookie that remembers your votes and draft tries;
- when ads are shown, cookies from Google and its partners (below).
The first two are needed for the site to work. You can delete cookies in your browser at any time; you'll be signed out.
Advertising
QWERmix may show ads from Google AdSense to cover its running costs. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info (or youronlinechoices.eu in Europe). Google explains how it uses data from sites like this one in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.
Who else handles your data
- Vercel hosts the site.
- Neon stores the database (in the United States).
- Google (Gmail) sends our emails; Google and Discord handle sign-in if you choose them.
- Champion art comes from Riot Games' Data Dragon and video thumbnails from YouTube.
How long we keep it
Guest posts that nobody upvoted are deleted after 30 days, and guest accounts with nothing left go with them. Accounts and what they published stay until you ask us to delete them.
Your choices
You can change your name and picture in profile settings. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account and everything you published, email qwermix.app@gmail.com from the address on your account. We reply within 30 days.
Children
QWERmix isn't aimed at children under 13. Don't make an account if you're under 13, or under the age your country sets for agreeing to this yourself. If you think a child has given us data, tell us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Big changes are announced on the site.
